Checking my potential rooommate’s background in Japan before move in.: New York 30s female

Before I move to Japan,I looked for roomate. I found a potential roommate from ads on Facebook. All the information I could know about the person is from his facebook account and nothing else. I have a friend who had a bad experience in a similar situation.
I’d like to know if the person really is reliable or not.

According to the Japan P.I, his name used on Facebook was fake and he possibly scumming people on Facebook. I'm glad that I didn't send any deposit. This company also helped me find a shrehouse in the area I was looking for.

My friend and I are considering to launch new business this time but I don’t know his background much so I hired them to have an investigation.

I had a background check of when he was in Japan because I have known about him after he moved to the state. Now I am ready to start new business with him since their evidence report shows that how hard working and honest person he was.

Case3:Background investigation in the case of money trouble

A bar hostess: New York 40s male

There is a Japanese lady working at a night bar where my friend and I usually go, and I borrow her money. She promised me that she definitely will pay it back and gave me her private information like her address, and her family members’ contact number. But I’m getting worried if she is sure to pay back because the due is already past.

Comment

I asked my investigator to check the information she gave me and found they are all fake. I told her about this and it makes her to feel sorry and she pay back a part of it. Also my investigator helped me to get certain information of her to get back the rest this time.
